How does PowerX calculate my carbon emissions reductions?Updated 10 months ago

Your carbon emissions are a function of:

  1. The amount of energy you consume.
  2.  The carbon content of that energy.

For example, two homes may use the same amount of electricity, but one receives its electricity from a coal-fired power station and the other from a mix of solar, wind, and natural gas. These two homes would have drastically different carbon emissions despite using similar amounts of energy. PowerX uses a combination of information about your energy mix and real-time data about changes in your energy use to help show you your carbon emission reductions.
